Path of Exile item upgrader Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a frequent and essential way to boost the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can cause additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Sometimes, however upgraded Common and Magic gear is outclassed by Rare-grade gear due to their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They boost the effectiveness of the item upgrade they are attached to. They can also be salvaged by using an expert or higher salvage kit to recover upgrade components from other items.

However, it's important be aware that this upgrade will increase its weight, causing it to be heavier than it was before.

There are several types of armor upgrades available in the game and they all have different effects. For instance, certain upgrades will give the armor a certain number of additional health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The kind of armor upgrade an item can receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as indicated in the table below.

Some of the upgrades also require magic or a hybrid technology and magic, as identified by the "Magic" and "Hybrids" entries in the table. Additionally, some upgrades require a charge to use, which is identified by the "Charges" entry in the table below. The charges associated with these upgrades refresh every day or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

The cheapest method to upgrade armor is with Iron Ore, which can be obtained by exploring the environment and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive however it is obtainable through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied to armor pieces that are of high-level. These upgrades can provide significant boost in stats, and are worth the cost.

The player must be aware that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level can increase its defense values. However, it can also decrease its agility and speed. This is why it is not recommended to upgrade armor pieces beyond +9, because the increase in defense is usually not worth the extra weight and power costs of the upgrades required.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to enhance certain aspects of their weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Certain firearms also have upgrades that improve their innate qualities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, and reduces weapon overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity for greater damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades to weapons require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade for applying. They can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of bosses and monsters.

To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece, or Whetblade you need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of Bars. This is still possible, but it is dependent heavily on RNG. You're better off buying gear that has low levels of upgrade but with high base scores and stat distributions. These items have a better likelihood of granting you highest tier benefits and blessings.

To increase their level quicker, players usually be more inclined to upgrade their weapons. In addition to these players, they should think about upgrading the weapons favored by their teammates to increase their power as well. Jewels

All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get them. Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped out with another jewel of the same kind without damaging the original one. You can only replace the gem only once in a piece of equipment.

The use of more jewels in the movement will make it feel smoother, and is often used to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. In addition to enhancing performance, the jewels also create a surface that is harder than metal, which means that repeated friction from pivots doesn't cause harm as easily.

In addition to the above upgrades players can also obtain glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These are a small perk and are able to be swapped easily however they aren't guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and Scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade item components, like traits and aegis, aren't swappable and can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are items of equipment that offer many tiny but valuable advantages to your hero. You can find them in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They can also be obtained through vendors and after doing road interaction. They may also be crafted by jewelers, and found or purchased at the Trading Post.

The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak, which grants an unimportant but beneficial boost to speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player can then collect necklaces, amulets, and rings in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.

These trinkets can also grant buffs and skills that remain active whenever the hero is not in combat. This allows the hero to be more effective while inactive and may also help fill in the void of a strong team or the absence of any talent tree slots that would normally be filled with the hero's best stats.

A good rule of thumb for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best item upgrader-in-Slot) items that you aren't planning to replace soon, followed by any items with desirable stats, but less important than the iLevel of the item being upgraded. This is particularly true if an item upgrader mod has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade as it's usually more beneficial to upgrade one crucial stat than two subpar ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinkets to a red one prior to the beginning of the game. Mid and top players however, will choose a pink or green ward, based on the game's matchup. These choices will have an impact on the hero's ability to manage the map.

In addition to the items mentioned above, players will discover other trinkets in form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. They can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, for instance completing a chapter's main quest or killing a particular boss. These can be viewed by selecting the appropriate achievement from the reward tab of the hero menu.
