This is your chance to own a robotic floor scrubber vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor vacuum robot. It even could capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, while not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, is a good option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also features an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and functionality are among the top available however, it's also expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price cost.
But if you want to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other options available with a wide range of eufy models for significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just connect one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move, xn--hy1bm6gwtmu3avi.kr however.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it can be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The primary aspect that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
